Monitor ERP System celebrated its new office opening in Shanghai, China, on Spetember 12, 2014. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held followed by a dinner at the Le Royal Meridien Hotel next to People’s Park. The Consul General of Sweden in Shanghai, Ms. Viktoria Li took part in the ceremony with management staff from Monitor ERP System.
The 50 guests that attended the event were mostly customers to Monitor, but also included a few special guests from the Swedish community. Mr. Morgan Persson, CEO of the Monitorgroup, flew in from Sweden and opened the event by providing a brief summary of the 40 years of company history and the decision to expand to international markets. He then emphasized the importance of providing good support to the customers.
Mr. Knut Ngo, Managing Director of Monitor ERP System Shanghai, told the audience about the journey from the first customer in China in 2005, when there was no local representation, until today with 38 customers and an office in central Shanghai at West Nanjing Road. He also elaborated on future ambitions of providing a better product, with service and support adapted to the local market.
Ms. Viktoria Li, Consul General of the Consulate General of Sweden, spoke about how Monitor is representative of a typical Swedish business abroad. She also spoke of the importance of an open mindset in the ever growing network and diplomatic relationship between Sweden and China. This diplomatic relationship will be celebrating 65 years in 2015, and we look forward to many years to follow.
