Swedish ambassador applauds Monitor’s growth
Swedish Ambassador to Malaysia, Dag Juhlin-Dannfelt paid a courtesy visit to Monitor ERP System in Penang after he received a warm welcome from Chief Minister of Penang, Chow Kon Yeow yesterday.
He said there were around 100 Swedish companies in Malaysia, and Covid-19 has impacted many of the companies, however, quite a few companies were actually doing well during this period as a result of having the right digital infrastructure to operate and being in a business that was more needed than ever - Monitor was definitely one of them.
“It has been a bit of a struggle to convince Malaysian manufacturers the value of investing in digital solutions instead of the legacy of wanting to rely on the traditional, manual manufacturing, such as cheap labour, or investing in additional solutions. But, that might have changed now. As it happens, it also recalibrates Swedish trade policies that complement the main priority in sustainability and digitalization,” he added.
It is all thanks to you because you are all part of Monitor team. I feel privileged to be able to witness myself a part of Monitor’s growth in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
Adding on, “What I hear from Swedish company, including Monitor is rather encouraging.” He congratulated and expressed his thanks to Monitor, “And, it is a pleasure when an ambassador meets a senior official like the Chief Minister of Penang; he received me, and brought up the name of a good company - Monitor ERP, and it is all thanks to you because you are all part of Monitor team. I feel privileged to be able to witness myself a part of Monitor’s growth in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.”
Monitor ERP System thanked His Excellency, Dag Juhlin-Dannfelt for the visit and the great work he has done in promoting Swedish companies in Malaysia.
