Bjørnar Ødegård is Monitor's new CEO in Norway
Bjørnar Ødegård has been appointed our new CEO in Norway. An important part of Monitor since 2017 in the role of partner, Bjørnar was impressed by the functionality of our ERP system during a successful implementation for a Norwegian company. He has worked as Vice President Operations at Jets Vacuum AS for the last few years, but has followed Monitor closely during this period.
On August 1, Bjørnar stepped in as CEO of Norway to strengthen Monitor on the Norwegian market and promote growth for our customers.
“I feel full confidence in handing over the leadership to Bjørnar, a person I have known for many years. Bjørnar is a committed Monitor supporter, and the reason I am not worried is that I know that we have fantastic staff that can handle both large and small business, and that our consulting organization delivers satisfied customers and projects that create a ripple effect. In addition, we have fantastic communication with our Norwegian customers through our local support in Norway. I will also continue to work closely with the Norwegian organization in the future,” says former Norwegian CEO Jonas Persson, Director of Business Development Monitor Group.
Congratulations on being appointed CEO! How does it feel?
“Really good. I already know a lot of people at Monitor and hold the company’s success and values in high regard. I’m proud and humbled to be on board and look forward to getting to know the Norwegian team and all my other colleagues better after the holidays.”
What will you be focusing on?
“I’ll focus on building and developing the company. We've seen positive development in recent years, but to continue to grow we need to increase our sales and consulting capacity. I see skills development as an important part of this process. During the first months, I’ll also focus on getting to know Monitor better – both the system and my colleagues. I strongly believe in collaboration between companies and across national borders to enable Monitor to achieve its full potential in different countries.”
“By prioritizing these areas and investing in growth and collaboration, we will strengthen Monitor Norway’s position and continue to offer innovative solutions and exceptional service to our customers.”
What's your view of the future?
“Bright. Monitor has a fantastic product and a competent organization. We must continue to establish Monitor on the Norwegian market. This means making the system better known and creating an understanding of how good it actually is. Even I thought it was too good to be true when I first heard about the excellent functionality Monitor has as standard. We already have an accomplished and engaging team in Norway, which provides a good foundation for continuing to build the organization. I also hope we can have a good dialog with our subsidiaries within the Monitor Group and exchange experiences with them. This can give all parties a boost.”
“Finally, I want to say that I’m passionate about more Norwegian companies using Monitor. I’m committed to the future of Norwegian industry. In my opinion, the Monitor system is the one that provides the best cost-benefit ratio in supporting the competitiveness of companies in many Norwegian companies. This makes Monitor the right choice, and important for Norwegian industry.”
