“Having a summer job is a wonderful learning experience”

July 3 2024

Meet Troja Stenström Schönberg, 22 years old, from Hudiksvall, Sweden, who is working with us over the summer. She’s studying Information Systems at Uppsala University and is joining our extensions development department for the second summer in a row.
“I have an exciting project group which is to develop a replacement for Monitor’s current KPI Dashboard and reports with the self-developed Monitor BI tool”, says Troja.

How is it having a summer job?
It’s a wonderful learning experience and I have a met a lot of nice colleagues. Monitor offers me as a student a chance to gain more knowledge and experience within Information Systems, which is directly related to my degree. I had a great time here last summer, so it felt like an obvious choice to come back again this year.

What are you most looking forward to?
Continuing to learn new things and gaining more experience relevant to my degree. I’m also looking forward to working on a new project and being part of a group project, which is a really valuable experience.

What do you want to do once you have finished your degree?
I’m graduating next year but I’m not entirely sure what I want to work as. There are so many options. I will probably work with product development or information security.
