Meet Julia Sjödin, Chief Financial Officer for Monitor ERP Sweden
Julia started working with us in 2017 and has since then had an impressive journey from working in the Support Department to taking on the role as Sweden’s new Chief Financial Officer. Her path to Chief Financial Officer has been one of continual development and new challenges.
Tell us a little about your journey with us
“When I first started, I was in the Support Department where I got to know the company’s system and gained a good understanding of how our customers use Monitor. After about a year, I became a consultant and worked on a number of different things, but my main focus was on guiding customers through the upgrade from G4 to G5, particularly with the financial areas of the system. After a while a temporary position to cover parental leave came up in the Finance Department which I got. I have been in the Finance Department since then and am really happy here.”
I am looking forward to leading Team Finance and continuing to develop Monitor Sweden.
Since the end of August 2024 you have been Sweden’s new Chief Financial Officer, how are you finding it?
“It feels really exciting! I am looking forward to leading Team Finance and continuing to develop Monitor Sweden. I will be leading the team in line with the goals we have set but also working with the procurement of contracts and analyzing the company’s costs and income. With me becoming Chief Financial Officer, our department is growing, and we also have the addition of a new accountant/controller to the team, which is great.”
What is the best thing about your job?
“The best thing is that there are so many opportunities to develop and take on new roles and challenges within the company.”
What is your view of the future?
“I see a really bright and exciting future ahead of us.”
What do you like to do in your free time?
“I am really interested in interior design. I like having different projects where I get to use my creativity.”

Monitor G5 has won the 2022 edition of the ERP System of the Year award, in Potsdam, Germany, in the category for manufacturing companies. The jury was won over by Monitor’s plans in the area of sustainability, to adapt the system for more environmentally friendly production.

Monitor ERP System wins Factory Innovation Award 2023 in “The Sustainable Factory” category in Germany
On April 19, the Factory Innovation Awards were presented at the Hannover Messe. Monitor ERP took first prize in “The Sustainable factory” category. The winner was chosen by an independent jury of experts. The decisive factors in the category were functions in the area of sustainability reporting and carbon dioxide emission calculation.
