Monitor ERP breaks turnover record and hits target to double by 2023
8 December 2023
Hudiksvall-based Monitor ERP, which specializes in ERP systems for the manufacturing industry, continues its impressive growth. Turnover for 2023 is estimated to rise by 18 percent, resulting in another record year. Monitor has also achieved its ambitious goal set in 2018: to double turnover by 2023. The company thereby anticipates a turnover of SEK 720 million for the year.
"This is a fantastic milestone, which has now been realized. When we set the goal of doubling turnover in five years, I knew it was a challenge. But we've succeeded thanks to our incredibly committed employees and a concept that stands the test of time. By that I mean we have the software, implementation and support in-house, which is a recipe for success," said Morgan Persson, CEO at Monitor ERP.
This means Monitor is on course to reach a turnover of SEK 1 billion by 2026.
"In both 2022 and 2023, we exceeded our targets to reach the "one-billion" plan. I'm even more convinced that we'll succeed now," he added.
Monitor is currently expanding and recruiting many new staff in Hudiksvall, elsewhere in Sweden and around the world. The company now has 300 employees in Sweden and has added one-hundred staff to its ranks in the past year, 50 of which are based in Sweden.
When it comes to sales, Monitor's ERP system is a product that often performs better during recessions, when manufacturing companies look to streamline their operations. The company has therefore recorded excellent sales figures across many markets. In Malaysia for example, Monitor has secured Toyota as a new major and significant customer, as well as successfully signing a deal with a strategically important customer in the same region.
"The agreement involves three factories, but this customer has many, many more. We hope these deals will generate a ripple effect," commented Persson.
In 2024 Monitor is entering a new phase as Morgan Persson, who has been CEO since 1987, steps into the role of Group CEO. This sees Adrian Aptowitzer take over as the new CEO of Monitor Sweden, effective January 1, 2024. Adrian started working at Monitor in 2012, and most recently served as a Consultant Manager.
"It feels great to hand over to Adrian. To achieve our "one-billion" turnover target, we have to reorganize. Going forward, my focus will be on global and strategic efforts to ensure greater synchronization among our subsidiaries, as the group expands," Persson added.
