MARK-JOHN optimises production with Monitor ERP

MARK-JOHN Sp. z o.o. has been producing metal spare parts for the automotive, agricultural and machinery industries for almost 20 years, working with many well-known European customers. The company has extensive experience in stamping and bending parts, sometimes very complex and precise. On a daily basis, they produce parts in both structural steel, stainless steel, spring steel, wear-resistant steel, tool steel and non-ferrous metals, and protect the products by powder coating, galvanising or blackening. We visited them six months after the implementation of Monitor ERP to get a closer look at how they use the system in their production and to get their opinion on the system.

There were several factors that proved crucial when choosing Monitor as an ERP system: "We had signals and our own observations from friendly companies, that experience with systems developed for them from scratch did not work very well. Monitor offered a complete solution, fully focused on and optimised for production. Also, the fact that Monitor supports 100% manufacturing companies was extremely important to us. We had already tried to implement some software before and encountered numerous challenges, as the systems were mainly designed for commerce. It was then that problems arose that could not be solved" – says Janusz Przybylski, owner of MARK-JOHN.

The implementation of the system itself went smoothly in the company, and those involved also appreciate the contribution of Monitor's consultants and our support department:          
"The implementation was very straightforward. And at later stages, even if there were some challenges, they were solved literally in 20 minutes thanks to the remote desktop. I rate the work of the support department as 10/10 - whenever I call them, I get the help I need and I don't have any problems. I also really appreciate the fact, that the consultants themselves have experience from production companies, this is extremely helpful in understanding the situation in its entirety." – adds Jakub Tuta, quality controller and ERP system administrator.

MARK-JOHN had clear expectations of Monitor from the very beginning:
"We needed professional and complete production management. I think that after full implementation, we will be able to achieve this - of course it still takes some time to learn everything, but the system already allows us to create a structure that everyone can use. Daily use of Monitor has also improved communication within the company between individual employees." – continues Janusz Przybylski.

Employees appreciate the capabilities of Monitor ERP on many levels: "Warehouse control is particularly useful for us, as we did not have it before. Finally, we are also able to account well for production, because each analysis gives a full picture of the situation and even if there were errors in the past, thanks to Monitor they are eliminated on an ongoing basis" – lists Janusz Przybylski. Jakub Tuta adds in turn: "We also appreciate the ability to generate orders to suppliers and control their timeliness, all the automation, or the connection to emails and drawings that are attached to them. We can also change co-operators very seamlessly. Everything is now clearly visible to each employee and the flow of documentation is fast and correct, with live modification and editing capabilities that are very important to us. Almost all possibilities for modification and adaptation to our needs are possible in Monitor."

 

Monitor ERP has also become an added value in the context of MARK-JOHN's development:"'Since we have full control, which we did not have before, we are obviously developing. Employees are in contact with the system and everyone contributes to the development of our company" – concludes Janusz Przybylski.
