Get started with sustainability reporting

Five simple steps to get started with sustainability reporting:

1. Get up and running with Monitor ERP

To start reporting your sustainability, you need to start using Monitor ERP which is a standard system for manufacturing companies. You will have access to our free Sustainability by Monitor functionality which makes it easier for you to meet the new sustainability reporting standards.

2. Add data

To calculate your carbon footprint you need to add all current data to Sustainability by Monitor. Use existing sources within your company, such as supplier invoices. They may contain information such as energy consumption, emission levels and other relevant details which are needed to work out your carbon footprint.

3. Calculate

You can then sit back and let Monitor ERP do the hard work for you. Monitor ERP will calculate your products’ emissions down to component level, giving you a detailed overview of how your company’s operations affect the environment.

4. Analyze

Use the generated data to make the right decision in relation to your European sustainability reporting. You can identify areas where improvements need to be made and set goals to cut your environmental impact.

Therefore, you should report on sustainability

In 2026 all small and medium sized companies in the EU will need to follow the new European sustainability reporting standards (ESRS). To make it easier to adapt to the new directive, we have developed our Sustainability by Monitor functionality, a solution which makes it simpler than ever before to create sustainability reports.

By supplementing existing data in Monitor ERP system with information on energy consumption and carbon dioxide equivalents (CO2e), Monitor ERP calculates your carbon footprint at component level and helps structure emissions at company level (according to Scope 1, 2 and 3). This enables your company to monitor and report your environmental impact efficiently, as well as make smart, sustainable decisions.
