Eco Log chooses MONITOR G5, with the powerful product configurator a major factor
Eco Log Sweden AB, a manufacturer of forestry machines, is changing its ERP system to MONITOR G5. Business developer Olof Ohlsson has no doubt about what swung the balance: "One of the main reasons we chose MONITOR is the powerful product configurator," he says.
Eco Log had not updated its ERP system for quite some time, so the company was faced with the choice either to perform a major update or change to a new system altogether.
"We analyzed what was best, and found that a change was needed to gain control of our business data. A fresh start was necessary. We specified our demands and entered into dialog with different suppliers of ERP systems, one of which was Monitor. Following an internal evaluation process, we went ahead with a preliminary study of MONITOR, with very positive results." says Olof Ohlsson.
According to Ohlsson, there were several factors which led to the final decision to choose MONITOR G5.
"We chose MONITOR because the size of the system suits us extremely well. We don't need a lot of adaptations and help with the system, and when we do need something, Monitor provides it. Also, many of our separate systems are no longer required, since this functionality is included in MONITOR. There are also lots of follow-up features we can use. Easy access to the support center and consultants who provide training were also very important to us – this makes it possible for us to stay updated and optimize our use of the system."
"It's powerful enough to provide us with control of how the machine is constructed, and for us to get rid of several of our other systems"
However, the main factor was MONITOR's product configurator, which was perfectly aligned with Eco Log's needs. “It's powerful enough to provide us with control of how the machine is constructed, and for us to get rid of several of our other systems," Ohlsson adds.
Eco Log plans to go live with MONITOR G5 in the fall of 2019.
