Focus on the right areas in a changing world
Find it difficult to plan production? Seem like the price of different components is often changing? Find it hard to keep track of stock and know when to place orders? The Agent option in Monitor G5 can help you to overcome all these challenges in an ever-changing world.
It allows you to create different monitoring tasks for various types of events, so when they take place, the right people are notified. This means you’ll automatically be updated when deliveries from suppliers are late, or prices rise. It makes it easier for you to keep your promises.
The Agent can also issue signals when orders arrive, so you can swiftly channel material into production. This helps you to be more pro-active in your decision making and offers peace of mind when planning production. And for maximum control, you can also use the Agent to automatically generate a range of reports at scheduled times, such as sales statistics, calculation of annual volume, and stock value.
To continually update your stock levels, you can use the Calculate stock levels procedure via the Agent. This means you’ll avoid needlessly tying up capital when prices increase, helping you to build a secure, balanced level of safety stock. When you have the right material in stock you can keep track of tied-up capital, ensuring you’re not left with either a large, costly stockpile, or too little stock in order to deliver on time. You can also work smartly by categorizing parts, so they’ll be managed differently depending on price development, availability, and lead times. Suppliers’ lead times and prices can also be imported to Monitor, ensuring you’ll always have access to the latest information to let the customer know the correct delivery time. This also allows you to follow up how purchase prices affect the margins of the products you deliver.
With the Check delivery times function you can monitor how delays in the supply of material affect your customer orders, in order to prioritize the right parts to focus on when monitoring delivery. You’ll also get a clear indication of whether you need to replan the manufacturing order when it comes to material supply and staffing. And when it’s time to start production you can gain an overview of whether you have all the material available. As a result, you’ll have fewer incomplete manufacturing orders, where, in a worst-case scenario, you’ll have to start borrowing material from one to the other. When using the function to monitor arrivals there’s support for monitoring lists, and you can generate automatic reminders to suppliers. You’ll also be informed automatically when it’s time to order components.
