​​​​​​Monitor ERP won first prize in the "The sustainable factory" category. Monitor's Maria Sundin Flöjt, Project Manager, Business Development, gave a thank-you speech on the stage.

– We're extremely proud and honoured to receive this award. It's a major quality check for us that we are focusing on the right functionality in our ERP System. Germany for us is a really tough market, with tough competition, so we're really happy about this, said Maria.​

Stricter requirements on companies' sustainability reporting

Due to the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) and the new ESRS (Sustainability Reporting Standards), which will apply in the EU from 2026, companies need new solutions in the area of tracking sustainability in production. Just as in financial reporting, such information will become increasingly important for all stakeholders. ESRS recommends the reporting framework of GHG (Greenhouse Gas Protocol).

This protocol requires reporting of emissions from the production of individual products to transportation and delivery. Monitor ERP can help companies do this by automatically calculating all this information from the information in the ERP. A carbon dioxide value can be stored for each raw material purchased. But also for newly produced products based on material usage and the energy mix at the site.

This information can be adjusted again and again, and in day-to-day business can also be taken into account in part lists, in order to select the most environmentally friendly option for an order. Data from suppliers and logistics partners, for example, on emissions during transport can also be stored in the system or even synchronized automatically in some cases. The goal is to measure carbon dioxide emissions per year and per area. This process is analogous to a normal budget process, except that now carbon dioxide emissions are used as currency.

Also recognized was the high connectivity that the software offers with existing machines and external business partners from the financial and logistics sector. Last but not least was also the future viability of the software, which is intended as a standard ERP without many configurations. This makes it possible to run regular updates without losing adaptations. However, the implementation of Monitor already takes much less time than comparable ERP systems.

The award creates business opportunities in Germany

Receiving this award and participating in the event at the Hannover Messe is a great honour and underlines the forward-looking approach that Monitor ERP offers. It also provides a further foundation for Monitor to become even better known in Germany, and to become a preferred partner for manufacturing companies that want to be future-proof in the face of all the current challenges.
