MONITOR G5 now launched in China
On October 16, 2020, the MONITOR G5 launch event was successfully held at the Bellagio hotel in Shanghai.
China has recovered quite well after the outbreak of COVID-19 at the beginning of this year, so we were delighted to be able to stage the event. Over 170 guests, including business partners, existing and potential customers, were in attendance, with more than 300,000 people watching online.
Despite the international travel restrictions and the impact of COVID-19 globally, Monitor showed its strength as a global organization. The audience was given a taste of a spectacular forest in Sweden via video on the 270° giant LED screen, and guests also learned the history of Monitor from Group CEO, Morgan Persson. The CEOs from Monitor Malaysia, Poland, Finland, and Norway also sent their greetings via video.
Monitor China’s CEO, Mac Zhu, delivered the keynote speech at the event, ending with the following message: “Our customers inspire us to create better products, and we want to help our customers to grow into doing better business. Together, we make manufacturing easier.”
The Deputy Consul General from the Consulate General of Sweden in Shanghai, Jakob Holthuis, was also present, and gave a speech at the launch event. He commented: “Swedish companies have a strong commitment to the Chinese market, and the launch of MONITOR G5 is an example of that commitment.”
Following the launch, many of our existing customers got in touch to find out how they can upgrade to MONITOR G5, and the event led to large numbers of system demonstrations being booked right across China. Morgan Persson, CEO of Monitor ERP System, says he’s looking forward to the company's continued expansion in China, and is excited to see how the nation is recovering after the outbreak of Covid-19.
