News in G5 – Daily management
Here we present a small selection of new functionality that has been developed in MONITOR G5 during the past quarter.
Now it is possible to create blanket orders from which you make calls. The quantity on the blanket order will be deducted from the linked purchase order. When purchase order suggestions are created in the Purchase order suggestion and Stock refill – Purchase procedures, blanket orders will be considered, if any.
By replacing the whiteboards in the production with daily management, you always have updated information about your work centers. It is possible to replan operations directly at the screen when you are having meetings with your team. In the Daily management procedure, you can create different views in which you can see essential product information that is constantly needed for departments and work centers. This is intended to be made on larger screens (or touch screens) out in the actual production unit.
Components are included that for example can show status of work centers and show the priority plan for a work center. You can change priority of operations, replan orders, lend personnel between work centers, and change capacity in work centers. Daily management currently supports day planning.
Components are also included that can show efficiency, rejections, personnel's absence, texts, images, hyperlinks, and websites.
A specific user license is included in daily management to which you can link an unlimited number of users (terminals).
Classify the range of part by ABC codes by doing a volume value analysis. The classification is done according to limit values in amounts, in percent of the total volume value, or in percent of the number of parts.
Create pre-defined templates for activities that are needed when for example a new manufactured part is added to the part register in order to rationalize your work. You can use pre-defined activity templates to simplify the work of for example creating a standardized work method for creating a manufactured part.
In the Currencies procedure, you can schedule automatic updates of exchange rates. Now it is also possible to use automatic update of exchange rates when Danish Krone (DKK), Norwegian Krone (NOK), Polish Złoty (PLN), or Singapore Dollar (SGD) are used as company currency.
A new procedure called Report dispatch advice is added. Here you can report dispatch advice of deliveries. You can manually report dispatch advices for one or several purchase order rows. You can then see if the purchase order row is advised. In the part's planning window you can see if the part on the order to which the row applies has been advised.
It is now possible to synchronize activities in MONITOR with Outlook and Office 365. Please note! This does not apply to project activities.
