News in G5 – with improvements in Daily management
Here we present a small selection of new functionality that has been developed in MONITOR G5 over the past months. We would also like to inform you about a big release later this fall – the option Tools & Maintenance.
Now you can create activity templates that can be used for customer orders, quotes, as well as in the customer register. You can use pre-defined activity templates to simplify the work of for example creating a standardized work method for following up on customer activities.
There is increased flexibility to modify linked orders when it comes to quantity and date. You can choose which rows should be updated on linked orders when replanning quantity and/or delivery date on customer orders or purchase orders.
The following improvements and new components have been developed during the spring:
Now there is a link between registered claim cases and stock balances. This means that rejections and returns affect the stock balance and the transaction is linked to the correct case number.
Now it is possible to perform stock count per location.
The Report arrival procedure now takes reported dispatch advices into consideration. The dispatched quantity will be suggested as quantity to arrival report. New fields for selection have been added to the backstage of the procedure, for example delivery note number of the dispatch advice.
Export of raw data to Excel has been improved.
When installing MONITOR G5 for the first time, there is a preinstalled package with basic data adapted to the Chinese market.
This version contains functionality for companies in Poland using features within manufacturing, purchase, and sales. The Polish country package will be launched in several steps, where this step contains support for companies that do not use the Accounting module in MONITOR. The following functionality is included in this version:
This fall we will release an option called Tools & Maintenance. This is a fully integrated solution used to handle and administer different tools within the company. Tools and machines are registered in the same register as regular parts in MONITOR. They are also handled in the same procedures as other parts, for example Net requirement calculation. In the part register you can see all reservations, withdrawals, and planned purchases in the planning window.
When creating BOM and routing for parts, the tools can be linked to operations. The tools can then be reserved when the part is being manufactured. When starting an operation on the order, the tools will be withdrawn. When the operation is reported as finished, the tools will be returned.
Tools & Maintenance provides you with a good overview and structure used to plan and handle maintenance as well as calibration of your tools. MONITOR supports handling of consumable tools, reusable tools, machines, and tool structures.
